The first collaboration between MVP Disc Sports, Simon Lizotte and Powergrip is here! With the Glitch being one of Simon’s absolute favorite discs (even listed as one of the top 10 reasons he wanted to join Team MVP), it was a no-brainer for the first collaboration disc to be a Glitch that could be special for not only Simon, but fans around the world.
The next great experiment from MVP's R&D Lab, the Glitch is a hybrid catch disc designed to blur the lines between disc golf and a catch disc. The Glitch has the diameter of a putter and is PDGA approved as well, making it truly the best of both worlds. With flight numbers of 1 | 7 | 0 | 0, the Glitch is the first MVP disc with 7 glide — just a flick of the wrist is all that stands between you and a game of catch on the beach or an approach to the green! Neutron Soft plastic makes the Glitch easily catchable when throwing around with a friend, but it also makes the Glitch an awesome approach or scramble disc because of its tendency to sit where it lands.
Its neutral flight path makes it a tremendous first disc to learn with — making it a great first disc for players with Ultimate frisbee backgrounds and lower power players! Available in 140g-154g, don’t let its light weight fool you, the Glitch has enough aerodynamic stability and glide to be a useful tool on the course. For anyone who loves to throw discs, either on the course or just playing catch, the Glitch makes an awesome companion for a fun time and some awesome lines. About the plastic: Eclipse Rim R2 Neutron is made from Eco-Consious recycled materials and glows in the dark. Neutron is an Opaque blend of premium polymers that offer extremely good durability and hand feel. R2 only comes in black with a blue, glowing overmold. These have a decent amount of flex to them, but are on the stiffer side of something like an Innova Star plastic. Typically this is a plastic that is “true to flight numbers”, but it still depends on run to run. The Eclipse plastic is ONLY the Rim, as the rest of the plastic of the inner core is black, and does not glow.
To make this collaboration memorable, we wanted to kick it up to the next level. R2 Neutron Glitch? Ok, that’s a good start. R2 Neutron Glitch with an Eclipse rim? This is getting good!
